The Band Plays On...

Wow, it's been months since I updated my blog. Sometimes there's so much going on that I barely notice the passing of time. I'm pleased to write that on the day that would have been Lynn's 40th birthday SNOT is back in full effect. I just spoke to Lynn's sister and my dear friend Jennie Strait. we shed tears of loss and joy. Loss of our beloved Lynn and joy for our ongoing lives...I know in my soul that what we are doing honors Lynn and his family. We tracked a new song that's available for free download on www.snottheband.com and we're putting the finishing touches on a couple of tours that could go til the end of the year. We can not deny who we are and what we do. But we can control HOW we do it. I can only speak for myself when I say that putting SNOT back together, with Tommy on lead vocals, is the true and natural thing to do. We wrote & recorded "The Band Plays On..." in a matter of hours. In fact, the song almost wrote itself. Any artist will understand what that experience is like. Undeniable Truth. So, to my brother Lynn I say Happy Birthday, I love you, and I will honor you with my entire being. Now let's DO this!

The Proof

This morning I saw the shadow of a hummingbird on the blinds. I stopped. Took a breath. Smiled. And it was gone. Never before had I seen a hummingbird's shadow. Mere seconds of awareness welcome me to the eternal Now. On the tiny wings that beat between me and the light of the Sun is this reminder of Truth. In the restful breath of my sleeping dog lies the presence of the ALL. From the laughter of a playful child comes the joy of Life.
